Our 6:30 flight out of Minneapolis was cancelled after we sat in the plane for an hour. It seems they couldn't get the exit doors to latch properly and couldn't locate a mechanic, or something . . . They didn't tell us much, but we just happened to hear a couple of flight attendants talking. So we were re-ticketed to another airline and left 4 hours later. After another 4 hours in Dallas airport, we finally found our way to Costa Rica. We are staying at the home of Aracely Castro, a very nice grandmother of seven! I would include pictures of the house and my room, but I discovered that I left the adapter for uploading photos from my camera AT HOME. I'd use my smartphone, but I didn't bring it either -- they don't work here. The phone anyway - - the camera would have though. Silly me! Anyway -- Photos --- That's a problem I need to solve.
Today we are going to visit the students at the school in San Pedro. One of the students has a plan that includes having us each teach a small group. That'll be fun!
